100 Years of Dedication to Education
COVID-19 restrictions have canceled many of our plans for 2020. We hope to be able to resume our normal schedule soon.

Historic Castalia
Rosenwald School
THE REAL OLD SCHOOL
Castalia School was established through donations from Julius Rosenwald and
Booker T. Washington who worked throughout the Southeastern United States
to establish schools for black communities.
The black families of Castalia, North Carolina, banded together in the 1920s to build a school where their children could grow, learn and be challenged to greatness.
One hundred years later, their descendants have taken the challenge to maintain #TheRealOldSchool for the future generations so we can remember our past and create a future that uplifts everyone.
